JarStar was created in 2011 by LaFae. Designed in California, before re-usable water bottles were readily available, smart hikers and festival goers carried their favorite drinks in mason jars. Water bottle totes were a rare commodity back then- today they’re ubiquitous!
The name JarStar reflects these humble origins.

BESY OF ALL, every JarStar made supports a small Indonesian village. After seeing first-hand how excess fabric and insulation can end up in Bali’s rivers and ravines, JarStar’s team partnered with local manufacturers to create a positive ecological alternative. Each piece is made by hand, a process which employs local artisans and removes manufacturing excess from the waste stream.
